LINCOLN — State Sen. Rob Clements of Elmwood announced Wednesday that he is running to keep his seat in the Legislature.

Clements, a Republican, represents the 2nd Legislative District, which covers all of Cass County and parts of Sarpy and Otoe Counties. Clements was appointed to the Legislature by Gov. Pete Ricketts after the resignation of former Sen. Bill Kintner.

Clements is executive vice president of American Exchange Bank in Elmwood.
